As an increase in the number of those with the coronavirus has been reported, the government of Pakistan has requested people all over the country to remain at home. The purpose of this quarantine is to make sure the virus isn’t spread further.
Yes, we understand staying at home is difficult, but whenever you feel on the edge, repeat to yourself “precaution is better than a cure”. However, to make sure you stay occupied during this tough time and don’t feel the urge to step out, we have some interesting tips for you and your family.
Here’s what you can do while you self-isolate yourself from the world…
Watch movies: This is of course the first option many people will turn to. And in the day and age of Netflix, binge watching movies and television shows is quite easy too!
Start by watching Oscar winning movies and you will be glued to your laptop screens for hours.
Exercise: Sitting at home will leave you more energised than usual. And the only way to utilise that energy is by involving yourself in a great workout session. If you want a quick and feisty workout without any machines, google some tabata routines that will give you a toned body in no time.
Take online courses: Interested in learning a new subject? Check out free online courses that you never had time for before! There are literally gazillions of courses available on the web and you can use this opportunity to increase your intellect.
Read books: Books are by far the best way you can entertain yourself while gaining knowledge at the same time. We suggest you look up some great literature classics that will have you hooked for days to come.
Learn to play a musical instrument: Always wanted to learn the piano or guitar? Well, now you have all the time in the world to create the tunes you always wanted to. And thanks to the internet, you don’t have to step out for music lessons either.
Learn a language online: Want to learn French or German for better job opportunities in the near future? Now is the time to take online classes and become a pro at the language of your choice.
Learn to cook: Your mother might be able to cook with her eyes closed, but creating tasty dishes is not an easy task. If cooking is something you are passionate about, utilise this time by creating Gordon Ramsay style dishes. Yes, like every other thing on the list, cooking lessons are available online too. God bless the internet!
Catch up with old friends: How long has it been since you had a long chat with your childhood friends? Well, give them a call now and speak about all that is in your heart. Free from the chores of the outside world, now is the time you can connect with your old pals.
Detox your mind: Think about your future, think about your past – and slowly release all the negative energies that were pent up in your mind, body and soul. This is the time to self-reflect and plan out how you can enhance the experiences of your life once the world has gotten rid of the coronavirus threat.
